If the music has some kind of edge and we like it, we'll support it. ....................... smallPRINT's first release 'Walk Together' came in a hand-made stencilled sleeve, limited to 150 copies featuring Zambian born Solvinia AKA Miselo Kangwa alongside Bristol's producer MaryHad. The following mini-CD (50 copies) again came in a hand-made case featuring real popcorn packaging and real popcorn kernels for the release of a live recording by The Sonic Catering Band. The band prepare, cook and feed a dish to the somewhat bemused audience whilst sampling, triggering and layering cooking textures to provide an improvised score reminiscent of the BBC Radiophonic Orchestra and Zoviet France. Recipe: Popcorn. The forthcoming release 'tREEshutdown' (Mid-Aug 2008) is a compilation CD digipak album (1000 copies) produced by label owner Tim Kirby and including tracks from Noriiiko, MaryHad, Lessons Around Us, ReporterGB, Solvinia, The Casio Consortium, Soundcutt, and Ufollk in collaboration with Caroline Pringle, Romain Anne and Alison Farnon. Featured artists include Blackout JA, DJ Style, Ghostboy, Dennis Teeth, Tom Bugs, DJ Muzzell, Bellatrix and Michael Prime. .......................
